“It is faster, easier and safer to package in Ecorrcrates®. They weigh less so we pay less for freight. They are very durable and can be re-used, so we buy less. The Ecorrcrate® costs less than the wood crate, so we spend less. They are internationally accepted, so we have less issues in Exporting.”

Ecorrcrate Cross Lamination

Ecorrcrates are constructed from corrugated lumber. Most have never considered that corrugated paperboard can be made into a lumber material because standard corrugate is strongest in 1 direction only. So in order to have a corrugated lumber, it must be strong in all directions. We accomplish this by cross laminating sheets of corrugated paperboard in a proprietary process to create a material that is extremely strong in all directions. This cross laminated board is then cut to size, just like one would cut wood lumber.

No Hardware or Tools Required

The Ecorrcrate design requires no added hardware for assembly as the pieces are standalone and light weight. Set-up is intuitive with no need for any tools at all, especially risky power tools, to erect the Ecorrcrate for use. No pinch points and near zero injury risk. Work gloves are recommended to avoid paper cuts.

Fast Assembly

Ecorrcrates are assembled in a fraction of the time it takes to build wood crates or to erect knocked-down wood crates with the pinchy metal hardware.

Avoid the “OUCH”! Ecorrcrates are set-up for use in 1-3 minutes depending on the size.

ISPM-15 Certified Crates

ISPM15 is the standard that must be met in International shipping. Corrugated material is by nature ISPM15 certified so Ecorrcrates meet the requirement with no further action. If the Ecorrcrate is mounted on a corrugated paper base, the entire container is ISPM15 certified without any additional stamping or other requirement.

If the Ecorrcrate is mounted on a wood base, the wood base must be constructed from heat treated and HT stamped wood. All Ecorrcrates built on wood bases are made from top grade, heat treated lumber and HT stamped. This ensures all Ecorrcrates meet the ISPM15 standard and are very unlikely to end up in export quarantine, costing you more in treatment and the resulting 10 day delay.
